Hi folks,

with a somewhat heavy heart I realise that I'll have to part with my Elektor
FOrmant Vocoder project. I've got other vocoders and even if I built it up
I'd never use it.

As it stands there's a complete set of the standard PCB's (populated
according to the magazine articles), a PSU PCB (populated), a pair of
standard backplanes (populated) and a home-drilled 19" frontpanel. It' kind
of on a baseboard for testing purposes (I can leave that out if you
want/need to save weight for postage reasons) THe PCB's are the
paper/paxolin sort rather than FR4 but I've never had a problem with that
stuff (YMMV) It's got high-quality sockets (1/8") and decent pots plumbed
into the PCB's, basically it needs setting up and casing.

Bad point, a couple of the middle filter boards werre noisy IIRC. Those
particular boards aren't very well made and you might find it easier to make
new ones... Also the front panel though 19" might be hard to put onto a
standard case....

Good points: all the hard to find wierd cap values are already on it along
with the DIN41617 connectors, it's pretty much all there for all other
components bar the case, the transformer is a toroid. Somewhere I've got
photocopies of the articles and I think I've got indestructible artwork for
thhe PCB's too, can't guarantee the last bit but I think I've seen them
around, if I find them there yours......

I guess I'm looking for 40 quid plus postage for it, photos should be
available tomorrow.....
