Once when I was a kid and CD players were very new, I was talking to a guy
at Radio Shack about one and I mentioned something about an equalizer
(because the CD's sounded artficially too bright to me). And he said, "You
don't need one because it's perfect." I think that was the day that I really
stopped listening to adults. More importantly I stopped looking at numbers
in regards to audio and decided my ears were the real proof. Then I decided
that I like Klipschorn (however it's spelled) better than those cool Polks
(I never got to hear the biggest array though). I still would liek to have
some Klipsch speakers some time. Not knocking Polks by any means - I had
some in my car and liked them a lot. I just ended up thinking they needed to
switch to the 'less is more' school. I also stopped going nuts for MOSFET
amps and started liking really old tube amps.
