[sdiy] THAT VCA chips - 2180LB version looks good

I think the 2180 LB version would be a good choice for most synth/audio
purposes. There's a steeper curve up in price moving up from the "B"
version to the "A" version, than from the "C" version to the "B" version,
with performance "doubling" each time. I also don't think the 2181
(externally trimmed) VCA would be necessary, as I think the 2180 gets pretty
decent performance from a pre-trimmed IC. Anyone else have thoughts on
type/version?
I will call THAT tomorrow right after I get home from work to see what kind
of pricing we are looking at.
In case anyone is wondering about responses, I am saving all the emails that
pertain to this topic in a separate folder and will be responding on
individual basis once I get more info from THAT corp.
Also I understand that group purchases have been orchestrated in the past
here on synth-diy. How were the details of the transaction carried out
(transfer of funds, shipping, etc.)?
thanks all!
Dave
