well I can't say for the esteemed Mr. Belt...
but back in my college days we had a similar clip, although
feathers and beads were usually substituted for the copper.
These chips had an AMAZING effect on the sound as well.
I recall one night where we listened to the last groove in a
record for hours, it sounded so good !!!
