HI there-

I actually just spent a year looking for them...
there's a small one that's pretty much what you're
looking for that you can find through Digi-Key.
They're made by CTS. The part number (at digikey at
least) is 252A104B60NA-ND... there's a few varieties.
As well, the company recently sampled me 4 of them, so
if you don't need too many that might work for you
also. HEre's their webpage, with info about the
joysticks & all. And info on getting samples is in
there as well, somewhere.

The ones I'm referring to are the series 252 and 253.

Their products seem to be pretty well made, and
they're nicely small.

Another possibility is this one from Noble, USA corp.

It seems about the same as the CTS 252 stick I pointed
out above- at least it's fairly similar looking. I
don't know who carries these- I think you can order
through the company. On the page I sent a link to,
they do give contact info for samples though.
