Hi Harry,
It wasn't about your post - or my item - in particular. It's just
that I've seen oft before that people are scared away from things
they would love to have, assuming that the costs for overseas
shipping will be horrendous, even if it's just a small item. Nothing
to do with my cool item, just an observation.
I would advise anybody with an interest in a European
object-of-desire to at least inquire about shipping costs before
dismissing it. Of course I don't know the rates in every European
country, but when shipping anything below 2 kg from Holland by
"economy mail", it will cost no more than 16 Euro's. It will take
just a few days longer to arrive. Even a 20 kg (!) parcel - which
covers almost any type of gear - will be only 55 Euro's by that
method. Quite a difference with what UPS charges for having a
hardcore rave on your precious purchase. :-)
