Obviously I need to refrain from using dramatic but subtle irony in future.
Here's the sledge hammer. Take it. May it serve thee well.

Yes. Though small they can still hurt should you run into one of their
kind. Particularly at high speed with your headlights off. Or in a Pacific
fleet submarine.

Ah. The sweet sound of renewable energy.

That's only because you didn't do it on a plug-in breadboard next to a
power transformer. Ah. The dulcet tones of a BBD built on a breadboard and
a microphone pre-amp built with 324s. There's nothing quite like it.

See. So you admit it. There WAS a use for them after all. That must make
half a dozen at least.

Yup. I concur. But use the mil-spec ones in the ceramic packages. It's not
that I mind the taste of plastic but the ceramic ones have a more even heat.

That's why Ray Charles use to rock back and fourth and grit his teeth. He
wasn't smiling. He was in pain. "What the hell IS that noise boy?"

I found a really cool delay line the other day. I called my mate's
hands-free car-phone from my own mobile. WHILE I was sitting in his car.
I'll leave it to your imagination as to how much fun that was.

Be absolutely Icebox
