[sdiy] More Drum ?'s. Replacing 566

hello again... 

in my quest for nasty analog drums, i've come across a few i like at midwest-analog..    looking over them tho, they use the 566 for the VCO..   since that's sort of unavailable, can i sub a simple LFO or VCO here?
