[sdiy] Sub for LM324?

Judging by the circuit diagram at that page, I would say, NO, it is going
to be difficult to sub just any opamp. They seem to be taking advantage of
the fact that the common mode input range is going down to the pin 11
voltage, plus, the power supply voltage is +5 volts. For example, a TL084
would not at all be happy in this circuit... There are some newer low
voltage opamps that probably would be happy....difficult to say if they
would be a better choice than a 324...the 324 is a very nice opamp for
general purpose applications...(putting on flaming arrow proof
vest....waiting for barrage from Harry :-)
