Maybe it is presumed that the compositional elements are aleatoric,
and thus determined by chance?  It needn't be totally random in every
parameter either...  I suppose that I just assumed that a decent piece
would shine all by itself in many categories.

We are happy to refine the whole Aleatoric Music Contests as we go along.
