Man, the Banjo-Tam is PATENTED?
Guess I better patent the Banjo-Snare a friend and I made back in 1992!
If anyone on this list tries to make a Banjo-Snare, I will SO SUE YOU!!!!
OK, let me just put the following ideas in the public domain:
Banjo-Snare
Banjo-BassDrum
Banjo-Tympani
Banjo-Gong
Banjo-Armadillo (well, I guess that is a charango, or however you spell it)
Banjo-Timbales
Banjo-TomTom
Banjo-ThoseReallyBigFrameDrumsTheInuitUse
Banjo-Cuica
Banjo-CymbalWithSizzlersInIt
Banjo-Volkswagen
Banjo-AnyOtherDrum
Banjo-AnyOtherPercussionInstrument
It is a pretty obvious idea to use a percussion instrument, with a skin head
stretched over a hoop/cylinder, as the body of a banjo. Since that is what a
banjo is, fer crying out loud. My friend and I used a snare drum for the
body of the banjo purely out of convenience, as it was very similar to the
metal body found on some banjos.
