It would appear that the MC3346 is out of production. I just searched for
it at the On Semiconductor website (Motorola is no longer in the
semiconductor business). I came up with 0 hits. The only thing that the
CA3046 really had going for it was it's cost...you can (still) get them for
$0.50 which is a real good price for a part that performs as well as it does.
