Y-ellow Mattias, Tom 'n' all.
I had meant to chime in on this thread while it was fresh but I
also have a 7854. And yes these things are addictive. I would have liked to
have got more boxes for it but that's how it goes.
What I HAVE got however is the logic analyzer box with the data formatter
and all that. What I HAVEN'T got are any probes for it. I'd make some up
but I have no idea what plugs belong to those little D-like sockets. I
think I've got the pin-outs for it somewhere but I have no idea what they
are. They look like a cross between a honda socket and a DB connector. Only
plastic.
So here's my questions for anyone who might be able to help me here. What
are these plugs called? Where could I get some? or better still, Is there a
good source from which I could scrounge some cheaply? Like off the back of
something else. Something I might find in a junk shop or "Gasp!" on evilbaby.
I have to say, this scope is kick-ass. Some TEK heads seem to regard it as
the best scope TEK ever made. I don't know about that but it's the best
scope I've ever owned. Though I'd love a stack of 500/5000 series TEK gear
on my bench. The distortion anal-eyezer, counters and the like. But alas I
shall probably never come across them at a price I can afford.
I'd join a Tek List but I have enough trouble keeping up with this one so
If anyone could fill me in on getting hold of those strange connectors, or
even a cheap pair of probe sets, I'd at least remember to stand well back
while my head explodes with gratitude.
Thanks in advance.
