Hi Guys and Gals,
Sorry for the slightly OT post, but I've been given a TEK2213 o'scope and I
need to fix the little bugger. This isn't too OT, since this will be my main
tool for debugging and calibrating synths.
When I switch it on, there is a very faint sound that sweeps up in frequency
and repeats, somewhat like a VCO being swept by a sawtooth LFO wave. The
repeat rate is about once or twice a second. I'm guessing something has died
in the power supply. I'm also guessing that it's a switching supply, and
this is a common fault in switchers (because I've heard other dead
equipment, including TVs, make the same sound). I'm also guessing that I'm
not sure where to look next. I do have schematics... buried somewhere since
the last move... but I do have them.
Any guesses?
Tim (yes, fixing the dead o'scope is project #4 of 275) Servo
