[sdiy] Where can I get desktop synth enclosures

I'm quite fond of the DIY silk screen kit from PhotoEZ. Just laser print
your front panel, expose the film and wash away with water. Frontpanel
express is some pretty serious sticker shock (last one I had quoted was
$190.00).
Another bit on painting aluminum: You should Alodine the surface first which
will prevent it from oxidizing and it is a good base for paint.
I have a Hammond box coming in the mail for my SID project so I will post a
review when it arrives.

You could do a front panel from
Frontpanel Express (Schaeffer)...
they will do all the metalwork and engraving for a BEAUTIFUL finished
panel... otoh it might\be as expensive as a minty ProOne...
If you have the one piece finished front panel, the rest of the box would be
easy.
