I simply mentioned common emitter so it didn't rule out any matched pairs

It's funny,  searching directly for MAT01 does indeed find them on Digikey 
($9 each...eeek) They're listed under "Data transmission ICs".   I was 
searching under semiconductors... silly me!

Maybe next time I should just enter a part number since no one's search 
engines seem to be very logical.
