Uhm, but that would be waste. Of course you want to pipeline the whole 
design instead of creating a dozen instances of oscillators, filters and 
whatsoever.

Having multipliers in place is great -- although I don't want to see the 
Virtex-4 price tag. But if 4-12 multipliers are also suitable, then
Spartan-III should do the job.
