Oooooooh...
All sortsa nifty touch panels could be done with these. How about a
relatively cheap 'slider box' (you would want some visual feedback though).
Hey Peter, I think these could be used on the 'second generation' Touchplate
Keyboard. Instead of force, maybe you could touch and slide to get a
variable voltage out...
I have seen the future of SDIY and I think it involves three of today's
posts:
1) Atmel or other similar cheap, powerful micros (at least for controller /
CV gen functions)
2) Big, reliable, cheap FPGAs (and cheap devel systems)
3) Touchplate / encoder / LCD panels (think about it; quality pots and
switches are EXPENSIVE and even the best will eventually break or get dirty)
We live in a VERY interesting time. If you think there has been a breakneak
pace of technological innovation in the last decade or so, you aint seen
NOTHIN' yet!!! Grab your software / hardware development kits and HANG ON!
