Ian, you're right. I've got 10k pull down on those things to keep it
controlled when not selected - let me change that drawing. I'ill be
putzing around with lowering the reference voltage a bit - got some trimmers
laying around that I may want to try instead of the fixed divider just to
see if I can get a lighter touch. In that deflection is required, if you
want to run your finger down the line you've got to but some pressure behind
that move, so it's never going to be like the Buchla controllers, but I bet
you I can get it a bit more sensitive. If it doesn't improve, I'm OK with
the way it operates now.
One thing I want to point out is I didn't use the stage gate out in the
Serge Programmer circuit as (it looks is way in the schematic anyway), that
they stay high as long as the stage is active, and I want one that stays
high only when there's pressure on the key. What I was after it the ability
to trigger five independent events. With the Serge configuration, I
couldn't get multiple gate signals when pressing the same key repetitively.
DOing this effects it's ability to truly act as a sequencer, but I've got
four others that will do this so I didn't see it as a risky trade-off.
OK, drawing changed (pulldowns added).
