I respectfully disagree with this - very respectfully.  Some modern day
synths are throwing 16 v p to p signals about, which IMHO is too hot for non
shielded external cabling -- too much of a risk just for the elimination of
multiples.  Mults are a drag because they are relatively functionless and
take valuable real estate- but it sure beats hum and bleed.

How to get around MFDS (Mult faceplate depletion syndrome):  I have four
mults which I keep out of the machine. Instead I've housed them in little
chassis boxes that I gently place where I need them and lay them carefully
on the instrument when they are called to action.

Not sure it was on this list or AH, but I made a comment once that the DTG's
on a Serge I had in here for repair would fire when I turned on my stove's
electronic ignition in the kitchen (adjacent to where the instrument was).
This is what convinced me.
