This has been helpful in identifying some of the old Fairchild IC's 
inhereted from my grandpa...

With the help of a listmember who suggested I just focus on the first 
three numbers, I found I have 5 uL 900 RTL Micrologic inverting buffers 
and 11 uL 914 RTL Micrologic NAND/NOR gates.

Well - sort of. Fairchild actually had a fairly complex numbering 
scheme... still sorting it out...

P.S. Yes, I'm spending Christmas EVE, or technically early Christmas 
morning, sorting parts. First time I've had a chance to catch my breath in 
a while...
