[sdiy] Searching for a VC Clock schematic ......

I'm searching for Voltage Controlled Clock schematics online, to compare
with an idea for one that I came up with a couple of hours ago, to see
whether it's been done or not.
Does anyone know of any that are available online anywhere (schematic)
that's NOT using the CD4046 PLL? That's only actual schematic of one that
I've found.

My idea is based on a CMOS clock around a single CD40106 Schmidt Trigger
Inverter, along with a CA3080 TOA, for the VC portion.

Due to my strong lack of experience in designing anything with the CA3080,
I'd like to see if there's already an existing design that I can work from,
rather than testing / protyping my own. :)

(I have the very basic theory of operation with the CA3080 down, and believe
I can do it properly but ...... if I can save time by finding a schematic
already - that'd be cool. :) )

Thanks for any help. :) Merry Season to everyone. :D
