[sdiy] Stand Alone Ring Mod

Ok, after looking around a bit I found myself most impressed with the 
Moogerfooger RM. So here's what I'm planning to build.

1U rack mount effect featuring:

AC/DC input coupling switch.
Defeatable input amp for line level signals or guitar/pickup signals.
Sine/Tri VCO for carrier.
External carrier input.
LFO, my crazy LM324 design.
Simple envelope follower.
VCA

Would it be worth having a 2nd ring mod stage?
