[sdiy] CA3130 in Polyfusion Noise module...should a new one work?

Take a look at the datasheet for the CA3130 - it will burn out if run from
the standard +/- 15V dual-supply. Fifteen volts TOTAL between pin 4 and pin
7 is the most it should ever be subjected to. It was used  because the
inputs are high impedance and it has a large gain-bandwidth product, needed
for maintaining 20 KHz bandwidth at high gains.... not all noise gen designs
take this into account.
