Places to start:

1) Check power supply voltages at op amps and logic devices.
Typically +/- 12 or +/-15 at op amps and +5 at logic devices, though 4000
CMOS logic can run at 15 V.

2) Check for loose/intermittant connections between cables or boards.
Reseat all connectors.

Subject: [sdiy] CR-78 help

Hello all. A dream of mine finally came true: a roland CR-78! Cosmetically
it is gorgeous. Problem. It makes no sound (yes, that IS a problem!)....

it powers up, and the lights come on (sort of/sometimes, usually). I hear a
buzzing sound when plugged into the mixer. That's it.

Any recommendations on what to look for or with what might be wrong?

Thanks,

JM
