[sdiy] where can I find knobs like this?

They look to me like Panasonic or Alps 9mm potentiometers
  (PCB mount).. with the plastic shafts sticking up, and the molded
  in indicator lines pained in. The MiniModular did this...

  Is it possible to get knobs that are this narrow for 1/4" shaft? I have  not been able to find knobs smaller than 1/2" diam...these would be  more like 8mm diameter...... unless he used 1/8" shaft pots.
