[sdiy] LM723 synth power supply issues!

If you have a ring power transformator with 2 separate secondary
windings and you want let's say 4 independent and different
regulated voltages, is it possible to connect 2 diode bridges
on each winding (and its associated ripple filtering and LM723
regulator) and then connect 2 of the floating regulators as a
bipolar unit e.g +/- 15V and GND and still having the other two
floating?

And /or at least as separate +V and -V unit but will they become
referenced to the GND point of the bipolar unit?

Also, is it possible to make two independant bipolar units with
separate GND points? If it is possible, shoulden't these units
then have a common GND point since impedance variations on the
current return path could (most likely) create voltage shifts?

Im asking because its said that the LM723 cant be used with
center tapped transformers.(witch the center tap are used as
GND point for the bipolar supply as in many power supplies
using LM317/337,LM78/79 units etc, im not talking of the
exepetion of tracking regulator configurations in wich one
LM723 are used for +V and a different regulator are used for -V).

My proposal here are not of the center tapped type.
just to clarify). Im a bit unclear of the current
return paths.
