[sdiy] The start of my modular

Hello everyone,
I'm new to this list and the world of Synth DIY, although I have been
doing other audio DIY stuff (mostly pedals) for a couple of years.
This January, at my college (Oberlin), I am undertaking the project
of building a modular from the ground up-specifically building, not
designing the circuits, because designing a whole modular and
building it in a month I imagine is near impossible for one person.
But for 5-6 hours a day this January I plan on building a synth from
designs from Ray Wilson's site, http://www.musicfromouterspace.com .
I wanted to see if you guys thought that I had chosen a decent
selection to get a modular started (and hopefully expand upon
later). I am planning on including:
1) VC LFO/O (.1hz to 20khz) http://musicfromouterspace.com/
analogsynth/VCO200503REV01/VCO200503REV01.html
2) VCO (10hz to 20khz) http://musicfromouterspace.com/analogsynth/
vco.html
3) VCLFO http://musicfromouterspace.com/analogsynth/coolnewlfo.html
4) +/- 12v Power Suply http://musicfromouterspace.com/analogsynth/
powersupply.html
5) Dual VCA http://musicfromouterspace.com/analogsynth/newdualvca.html
6) VC State Variable Filter http://musicfromouterspace.com/
analogsynth/statevariablefilter.html
7) Sample Hold/White Noise generator http://musicfromouterspace.com/
analogsynth/sandh.html
8) ADSR http://musicfromouterspace.com/analogsynth/norgate_adsr_001.html
9) Simple Ring Mod http://musicfromouterspace.com/analogsynth/
RingModulator/RingModulator.html
Then, not from Ray's site, I am hoping to build from Ken Stone's site
10) Stompbox adapter http://www.cgs.synth.net/modules/cgs46_sba.html
and http://www.cgs.synth.net/modules/cgs60_sba.html
Do you think this is a good assortment? Do you know of any other
designs/replacements you would choose? I have searched around a bit,
and it seemed like Ray had the most solid selection of simple modules
with detailed descriptions and PC board layouts around without it
just being a kit. Do you think I should make the +/- 12v power
supply or should I build a +/-15v one that would (possibly) be more
compatible with future modules, then separately try to build a +/-
12v step down for all of the modules? Is there a general consensus
about whether or not Ray's modules will work with +/- 15v or should I
forget about that possibility?
Thanks everyone for your help, I look forward to a wonderful January
of soldering, assembling, tweaking and (ehhh) debugging! I will do
my best to contribute to discussions when I can and update you all
when it's done.
