After getting a little input (both positive and negative) on my idea for a 
DVD of schematics for all instruments, I thought it would also be a great 
idea to have a DVD with factory patches of all synths.  This is another 
product which would prove invaluable to service centers and some other 
people.  I realize there could be similar issues with this proposal, and I 
know there are many sites on the web which offer free downloads, but as with 
schematics, it can often take a long time to track down what you're looking 
for since there's no ONE place to find everything yet.  Is anyone interested 
in working on a project like this or the schematic project I mentioned 
before?
I don't see much of an ethical issue here because manufacturers sell their 
machines with this data included.  This archive would be used to restore 
that factory data.  It should not include third party sounds / data.
