with all this talk of vintage ocmputers, can anyone shed some more light on
this?
i have a presumably early/ mid 80's 'microcontrol' , apparently a computer
used for audio applications. it's housed in a big 19" rack, and i'm trying
to find more info on it.. it has an internal 5 1/4 floppy disk drive, what
looks like a main board, and 3 diy looking big boards with what i presuma
are memory banks. from opening it a bit, this is what i can see inside:
board: sms model 5100 containing:
zilog z8681
sms omni 20506 c
sms omni 20507
srm 2264c
srm 2016c
2 big boards full of mostly sn74ls374n's
one board containing aming others a hybrid systems 9474 j-c 8531 ic
hard drive and 5 1/4 floppy drive
on the back:
audio in (xlr)
audio out (8x xlr)
midi in/out/thru
4x SIO
1x PIO
any ideas on what company made this, or when precisely? what does it run on,
etc. is welcome!
