Michael,

A popular substitute which is easier to get is the 6N136.

Subject: [sdiy] In need of component: SHARP PC 910 Optocoupler

Hello there,

i am totally new to these whole electronic- and diy-matter and this
mailing-list-thing as well. ;-)

At first i want to greet everybody who is reading this mailing list!

I am building up a kind of a MIDI-Expander like Yamaha MU-50 by abusing
my good old Yamaha DB 50 XG Wavetable-Board.

I am trying to use the schematic and PCB-layout from

http://www.heise.de/ct/97/01/328/default.shtml

By using the component list from this site, i ecnountered, that its
terribly difficult to get this PC 910 Optocoupler.

1. Does anybody know where i can buy this component?

2. Does anybody know the values of the "Sharp PC 910" (and can tell
those to me) so that i can search for any identically constructed
optocoupler?

regards @all

Michael
