[sdiy] membrane switches question

I am looking to replace/reconstruct the pcb for a row
of membrane switches (the kind consisting of a rubber
dome with pad on the upper inside which is pushed down
onto a circular pad in the circuit board)
What I am looking for would be sort of a general
purpose product, individual pads (on polymer or
flexible material) with leads.
As you may have noticed I lack the terminoligy to
articulate just what I am looking for. I assume having
the whole panel printed up professionally would be
costly and require having large quantities made, so
I'm just wondering what products people have found
useful for membrane switches.
