Hey All,
While hunting around, I found a few free C Compilers that might be of
interest. Go to http://www.htsoft.com/
move the mouse (don't click yet, just move the mouse pointer) over
"Products" and then "C Compilers" and then down to "Free Compilers." NOW you
can click on the compiler of your choice to find more info. They have:
*PICC Lite - A free version of their commercial C compiler for PIC micros
*Pacific C - A free MS-DOS compiler. Could be interesting for all those
"what do I do with this old 286/386/486/P1/P2 box?" projects...
*CP/M - A, you guessed it, a free Z-80 CPM compiler.
Could be fun stuff to play with. Also, for the PIC and AVR nuts in the
audience, Forest Electronics has some interesting C compilers, including the
AVIDICY which includes 'drag and drop' chunks of code. The prices look
pretty reasonable. For example, the pro version of AVIDICY goes for about
$US112. Check them out at http://www.fored.co.uk/index.html
Okay, now back to whatever you were doing. By the way, keep our
Louisiana/Mississippi SDIY members in your thoughts and prayers as Katrina
continues to drop way too much water on that part of the world.
