[sdiy] Pot Survey

My favourites were Telpod, when they were still doing pots.
Very good feel, like Spectrol 248, and dirt cheap.
Not quite a long life, but for the price it was good,
and mechanically they outperformed most of the pots
made today.
Now I also like very much the Bourns 50-faimly. Simply
because I have lots of 53 model from Electronic Goldmine.
Green mini Alps pots is no go for me. They feel is terrible.
I use them only in space critical cases. AFAIK there's
plenty of them in Bergfotron synth.
I've also tried Bourns PCW series because of their nice
feature - low profile and ability to mont them verticaly
on PCB. They're OK, but the feel is just not there yet.
Another ones - Spectrol 180 (?), little blue ones, look
the same as green Alps ones. Those are conductive
plastic in contrary to Alps (carbon), but the feel is very
loose, too soft for me.
