   Wow, I'm really amazed by how many people are using the 248's.  And
here I thought I was probably the only one spending so much money on
front panel controls!
   I seriously love these pots, they have just the right "feel" to them. 
The only thing that I don't care for is the plastic bushing, but it's
not a big deal.
   My main concern when buying pots is longevity.  And these fit the bill
and is worth paying more now than having to replace scratchy pots every
few years.
   As for linear vs log pots, not a worry as long as you only build stuff
that uses linear voltage control to start with.  ;)
