Oh... ok... so this thread isn't going to, like, eventually, evolve

So, it appears that you don't want to take pot-luck with your
pots... :-)

Never having gambled on the more expensive pots, I can't voice an
authorative opinion... but wouldn't the smaller ones be more
tempermental, since the area of contact with the wiper is smaller?
Perhaps one thing to look at is the following cost trade-off: if the
total cost of the more expensive pots cost more than a couple of cans
of Cailube, then I'd have to wonder if they're worth it... even if I
was a trillonnaire, 'cuz pennies can be fun to pinch. :-)
