One would expect so, especially as it is written on my personal synth (i.e.
"sergé") but no, and I quote one of his associates here - "It's pronounced
Surge or actually in French (like only a Russian  emigre living in France
who became a San Francisco hippie could (he's now back in Paris)), Sehrzh..."
