When the Minimoog finally, finally made it over the big pond into our
humble local music stores (even) salesguys weren't entirely sure how to
pronounce it.
"Moog" is also a more or less common name in the german speaking area.
(we had an actor, Heinz Moog:

Back then I was proud to know how english speaking people say "oo".
Well ... until a couple of years ago I learned the truth.
Today I'm still fighting with that.
Michael.
PS: regarding "Buchla" - I was always tempted to say it like german with
english accent, like "Boocla" or so ... and now ... learning never
stops! ;-)
