If you read the Gnu Public License (GPL), you'll note that you cannot
make "non-commercial" constraints on GPL'd stuff. (You can read more
about each sort of license at opensource.org) And you should not make
a modification to the GPL to say "this is the GPL but noncommercial"
because then its not the GPL and thats just confusing.

So, you should probably take all the GPL notices off your stuff and
replace it with something like a "creative commons
attribution-sharealike-noncommercial", see www.creativecommons.org
While, formally, such a license is not pure "open source" its probably
closer to what you intended
