I saw this in an email from a non-list friend and I thought it should be
propigated:
I support the idea that ANSI (the American National Standards Institute)
should create a standard unit of measurement for "1 volt-per-octave", which
should henceforth be known as a "Moog".

Perhaps it might be nice if SDIY as a group sent a message to the
Caring Bridge, expressing our sympathies and our appreciation for all
Dr. Moog has done for the synth community. I'd be happy to write
something up and post it here (and maybe get names to add to the sig)
before sending it off.
Also, I think it would be even more meaningful if SDIY made a group
contribution to the Bob Moog Foundation. Maybe set a two week time
limit, and then send it off. I'm assuming they're taking donations,
but we may want to wait to see exactly what they need.
I always liked the 'group feeling' of SDIY, and I think it would be
nice if we could do something as a group. Any thoughts?
Tim (okay, but no group hugs) Servo
