Another option that will be shortly available to you is the Hobbit. This is
a rebuild of the SimpleSizer and is a single pcb design that incorporates
relatively standard analogue synthesiser modules on a board complete with
all panel controls. This makes it a virtually no-wiring synth and is ideal
for beginners. By using standard module designs the unit is easily expanded
and integrated in to larger systems.

Although the Fatman is a relatively good starters unit it does have a large
amount of panel wiring and does not use standard module interface signals so
is not easy to integrate in to a larger system.

An offshoot of the Hobbit is the Goblin which will also be a single-board
pcb incorporating all panel controls but this will be based on the more
popular ASM-1/ASM-2.

Both of these units should be available sometime next month as a pcb and
optional component kit. I also hope to have a front panel and case design
available but this may be a month or so later.

Best Regards
