Mind you, all that one of these pots does, is to get one
switch off the surface of the modular or whatever.

An alternative using existing stuff, might be a dual pot,
where the second pot sends a control voltage, whihc
trips a comprator at the halfway point, to switch the 
source of the voltage to the other pot (and its 'ends').

Yeah, still tricky to get the zero t the centre, but you
cn dio this with some subtracting.
