Reminds me of the ongoing discussion on de.sci.electronics ... Nobody 
knows what "today's standards" of EDA software are when it comes to UI 
:)

Must have been really tired when typing that ... It should read "get 
*rid* of the flood fill". Once you fill an area it stays filled -- and I 
found no other methods to get back to the unfilled version apart from 
the mentioned methods.

Personally, I do the latter. If I pre-route GND/VCC then only locally 
where I expect to run into trouble later.
