So how about stealing those ultra light switching powersupplies from
laptops etc?
I recently finished a 32 step analogue sequencer, and I feed it with a
24 volt power supply that I got from the dead computer storage in my
school where I teach. It weighs next to nothing. With a few elco's and
a 7812 I get a really steady 12 Volt DC. The sequencer is totally
happy with it.
But that is not a sound source... I have no experience in using those
for sound oscillators.  Are there any disadvantages?
