[sdiy] DarkStar Mod and vocoder chips

Hey I saw a while back folks were talking about DarkStar mods,

http://www.retrosonik.com/DarkMods.htm  is a great page, however I was 
wondering if any one else has done anything to one of these units? I just 
got one of these last week for about 120, seemed like a fair price to me. 
(120 down from 400 in 99')
...Now I've just got to decide how much that vocoder chip adds as far as 
fun and function goes, as it would cost more than half of what i paid for 
this unit. (About 80 USD from Red Sound)

Oh and any one else there that has one of these units and never got the 
vocoder upgrade chip I e-mailed RedSound and they still have a few.
