I've used Proteus a great deal. What drives me *crazy* about this package is
the instability. This is supposed to be a mature product but the crashes are
a constant problem. I stopped upgrading because every increment in the
version number introduced yet more instability. The version I have at the
moment works and I know what not to do to avoid the dreaded 'Exception Bug'
but it's a real pain.
