Hey all,
I do believe I'm ready to announce:
[/lurk]
After much badness in dark, scary caves, I am ready to
dive back into the thick of DIY. Man are things a mess
in the lab! I looked at my modular and discovered I
had torn down a few modules to fix, and gutted one for
parts. It basically works, but no controller can touch
it. Snarf. Looks like I got my work cut out for me.
Meanwhile, my Xilinx station is up, so the whole
Walsh/TOG/JTOG thing can recommence. I am working on
laying out some PCBs for the Walsh generator. One is
just a breakout board. The other is an experimenter's
kit a la Paia that will have controls on it.
This evening I made progress on my version of the
AvrSynth. Mine uses a 4094's and a PCM54 DAC as the
output. Burns a few cycles but saves a bunch of lines.
The inputs will use 4021's in the same fashion. I have
the DAC working and successfully the mega16 version of
the code to the board. Next I need to route midi to it
for testing. I am toying with the idea of nixing the
controls altogether and using midi to send control
info. Also I will be bumping the clock to 16MHz.
Feels good to be back.
P.S. The last few years have not been easy, and I know
I flaked on a few people on the list. I am very sorry
for that. I hope you know who you are, 'cause I flaked
so bad that I can't even remember who I flaked on.
Write me offline and I'll try and make it right, or
just take the abuse...
