[sdiy] dial-a-shake

Hi Everyone 
I'm trying to find out something about a piece of test equipment I have. Its an "EXACT model 202 Complex waveform synthesizer".
I think it was used to vibrate a test bed to see how long something lasts, it has "dial-a-shake" dymo label on it
It doesn't work and I would like to know if it would be worth fixing, could it make a sound? or do I turn it into a sequencer, etc.
Any info would be greatly appreciated. I have a picture if anyone would like to see it.
