You could drop it at you parents' so that you have something to
check your mail with when you visit them. Or install Linux and
make yourself a firewall, FTP, maybe HTTP server. Or configure it
as an X terminal for checking schematics while working at the
bench.

You'll still have to find a 12V/17A linear power supply, which is
not cheap, and they probably won't sound very good.
