[sdiy] switched mode PSU design

Folks,

Thanks to everyone for their advice.

I should have explained a bit more in my original mail.

The PSU is to power a device which fits inside a large format wallwart case.
It needs to accept 100-300 VAC and reduce down to 9v DC, around 100mA.
We've been using the Philip's StarPlug chip for the current run but these
have some production issues which mean we want to look for alternatives.

Yes, there's a local company (North-East England) who wind this for us. I'll
see if I can find the contact details.

It's a fairly standard requirement driving a fairly non-standard device!
